I was one of two character artists on The Sims and was responsible for all female characters in the game. I also worked with programmers to create a system to allow for the necessary variety required from the Create-A-Sim feature. The result was the combining of multiple models and the dynamic layering of a number of textures onto a single texture.
I was also responsible for the user interface. I was very involved in the design, troubleshooting, creation, implementation and testing of every aspect of the UI, working closely with both the design and programming departments.
Additionally, I dealt with object animation which was restricted by the functionality of the original Sims PC engine and managed all game assets.
